How do you know if your dryer vents should be cleaned?

Any of the following symptoms could indicate a problem with your dryer venting:
- A full load of laundry takes more than fifty minutes to dry.
- Your dryer shuts off prematurely and your clothes are still damp.
- The top of your dryer becomes hot to the touch.
- Lint gathers on the inside of your dryer's door.
- Your house or laundry room is excessively dusty.
- A burning smell comes from your dryer while in use.
- Your outside dryer exhaust vent appears obstructed.
In addition, kinked or crushed venting behind the dryer can also create a serious obstruction to normal air flow.
